Judy is a teacher of many years experience and is best known for her distinctive color style, innovative designs and unique curved-seam technique which is described in her book, Curves In Motion. Judy's relaxed attitude and wonderful sense of humor are combined with a serious commitment to the art of quiltmaking which provides a unique opportunity for students to challenge themselves in a nurturing classroom environment.
Quilt Inn class size is limited so that each student receives individualized instruction. Students may ship supplies and/or sewing machines to the Lodge in advance, if necessary. Judy presents a new class each year and topics have included five-pointed, modular star designs, circular designs with curved seams, landscapes, free-form curved designs, and transparent overlay collage quilts.

Non quilters are welcomed and will discover boating, swimming, hiking, antiquing, golf and tennis in the area. The cost of Quilt Inn for quilters, which includes the class, lodging, meals, taxes and gratuities, is $750 for shared occupancy, $775 for a single room. Non-quilters pay$565. Three months notice required for deposit return. Deposit returns carry a $50 cancellation fee. Exploring the beauty of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom and the special charms of Greensboro are one of the added attractions of Quilt Inn. We picnic on the beach beside beautiful Caspian Lake one day, and there is enough free time to enjoy hikes, walks and beautiful drives in the area. One afternoon is set aside as "sneak-away" time when students are free to visit local shops, craft stores or just rest and relax. Quilt Inn offers a unique opportunity to engage in serious quiltmaking, work with one of the most popular teachers of our times and enjoy the unique beauty and atmosphere of Vermont. Judy's is traveling less and less, so this is one of the few opportunities to work with her.
